My dear brother, Ed, Let me be very clear about something. I know you have been going through a great struggle, and I know that when we are under intense pressure, we can say things in the heat of the moment that, after some time has passed, we may see differently. I want you to know that you have a brother here who has been praying for you and who understands that. As human beings, we naturally want life to be easier. We want things to work out. We want the freedom to come and go, financial stability, good health, and the ability to accomplish the things we desire. We don't want confrontation. We don't want suffering. We don't want to wait. We don't want to hear “no.” And there is nothing inherently wrong with desiring these things. THESE ARE GOOD DESIRES WHEN RECEIVED WITH GRATITUDE.
